Outside work, I enjoy writing, creating podcasts, and running a Telegram UX community with 1000+ members.

What I do

As a manager, my job is to help my team get better results.

I do this by improving the environment, tools and process for my team to get a multiplier effect on our collective outcome. Below is a summary of what I have achieved:

Building new products from 0 to 1

I have introduced user centric methodology to new programs I lead that has processed transactions worth more than USD 31 million.

Scaling products globally

I have developed a Design Playbook to help the company I work for scale their products from one market to multiple markets rapidly while decreasing development time by 50%.

 

Increasing design influence

I have developed a “UX growth strategy” to systematically increase the design team’s maturity and influence within the organization.

Growing the design team

I have developed processes to hire great people consistently, provide candid feedback to team members and nurtured a culture of continuous learning.

  • Defined the recruitment criteria, standardize the questions to ask, and come up with a framework to evaluate that candidate objectively

  • A framework for all all UX managers to consistently evaluate team performance. To provide fair and actionable feedback

  • I have identified top performers in the team, coached them and promoted them to lead a team of their own. I have set up clear Roles & Responsibilities to ensure they are set up for success.

  • A recurring meeting with the aim to upskill designers and foster a learning culture. Each team shares their learning about the product and how they managed stakeholders. I also actively invite guest speakers from other disciple to share their expertize
